Summary:
A Fortune 500 Pharmaceutical Manufacturing company is looking for a new Senior Project Engineer to lead constrcution management projects for their site expansion. This role will be fully on site in Sturgis, MI. Competitive compensation & benefits available.
Responsibilities:
Manage construction projects for facilities, utilities, and equipment at the Sturgis plant
Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and contractors to drive project success
Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance
Lead contractor meetings and act as the main point of contact on-site
Track project progress, manage schedules, and control changes or updates
Communicate regularly with engineering teams on status, issues, and deliverables
Resolve challenges using past experience and offer solutions to keep projects on track
Support project closeout, including punch lists, documentation, and compliance reporting
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in Construction Management, ideally in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical settings
Strong knowledge of contract management, client relations, and Basis of Design
Skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
Experience managing multiple capital (CAPEX) projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Construction Manager Certification (CCM), Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering
OSHA 30-hour safety certification (or equivalent)
First Aid / CPR certification
