Indirect Procurement Director
The Director of Indirect Procurement will have extensive experience in dynamic and rapidly evolving environments and should bring most of the following qualifications:
- Deep understanding of the integrated role of people, policies, processes, and systems necessary for sustained success in strategic and operational sourcing.
- Expertise in multi-step strategic sourcing processes, with a proven ability to deliver measurable cost savings and consistently apply a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and identify new value opportunities within sensitive, challenging, or long-term supplier relationships, including creating alternatives and substitutes where needed.

- Advanced financial, quantitative, and analytical capabilities to drive insights, evaluate opportunities, and manage risk effectively.
- Experience in forecasting budgets and leading monthly, quarterly, and annual business planning processes, with a focus on integrating sourcing data and market intelligence into corporate strategic planning.

Responsibilities
This leadership role requires a sharp focus on delivering measurable savings and operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in procurement, supplier negotiations, and logistics management, driving continuous improvement across categories such as transportation, warehousing, IT, professional services, and facilities.
- Lead and execute strategic sourcing initiatives across $220 million in indirect spend categories, including $100 million in logistics.
- Leverage market intelligence, advanced negotiation techniques, eSourcing, total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, and data-driven insights to prioritize and drive savings opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enable informed decision-making and implement change management strategies effectively.
Category Management
- Partner closely with internal teams to develop sourcing strategies that support organizational objectives, including new initiatives, strategic supplier partnerships, and incremental margin growth.
- Ensure efforts align with broader objectives and maximize buying income and accrual opportunities.
Logistics Focus
- Identify cost savings opportunities, enhance supplier relationships, and mitigate risks while maintaining service excellence.
- Establish and maintain a robust supplier performance and risk management program.
- Develop KPIs to monitor performance, resolve issues proactively, and ensure suppliers meet contractual obligations.
- Build collaborative relationships with vendors to foster innovation and long-term value.
- Manage the contract approval process and tailor legal terms to mitigate category-specific risks.
- Partner with Legal to maintain standard templates and agreements, ensuring compliance and minimizing liabilities.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, industry guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Establish frameworks to uphold ethical practices and ensure legal compliance across all procurement activities.
Experience
- 10+ years of leadership in sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management, with significant focus on indirect spend categories such as logistics, transportation, IT, facilities, and professional services.
