Logistics Process Engineer
A global leader in logistics is searching for a Logistics Process Engineer to join their team in Chicago, Greenville, or Memphis. The Logistics Process Engineer will design and implement operational efficiencies within the logistics framework. This role involves analyzing existing processes, leading improvement projects, and optimizing workflows and building designs to enhance overall supply chain performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Apply logistics engineering techniques to improve operational processes and facility design.
- Support new client implementations.
- Evaluate and design processes to streamline operations and achieve cost savings.
- Design and implement facility layouts to increase productivity and quality.
- Provide logistics technology support for client operations.
- Evaluate warehousing software and IT systems to maximize efficiencies.
- Develop logistics metrics and analysis tools to measure performance.
- Analyze logistics data related to customer service, forecasting, procurement, transportation, and warehousing.
- Prepare documentation on logistics data reporting.
- Conduct logistics studies and analyses.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or a related field.
- Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) certification.
- Experience with warehouse process optimization, data analytics, and process improvement.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI/Tableau, AnyLogic, AutoMod, AutoCad.
- Familiarity with WMS, TMS, ERP platforms, conveyor systems, AGVs, AMRs, IoT, RFID, AI-based solutions.
- Application of Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Kanban.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally.
- Excellent communication skills.
Experience Requirements:
- 3-7+ years in warehouse operations, logistics engineering, or supply chain optimization.
- Proven experience in warehouse process reengineering and cost reduction initiatives.
- Experience in implementing automation solutions.
