Commodity Manager Metal (m/f/d)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commodity Manager in the field of Metals for our Heavy Manufacturing sector client based in Munich. This critical role focuses on optimising procurement processes from ensuring quality and cost-efficiency across international markets. You would be responsible for purchasing aluminium, copper, sheet metals and stainless steel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluation of supplier's performance ensuring quality compliance alongside cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiation of contracts that align with corporate objectives while managing risks effectively.
- Maintenance of relationships through strategic networking across various stakeholders including high-level negotiations on supply agreements. Maintain inventory levels ensuring operational continuity without excessive overheads due to surplus stock or re-ordering delays.
Skill Requirements:

- Experience dealing directly with manufacturers or primary distributors which ensures first-hand information on product availability
- Strong capability lead purchase initiatives efficiently targeting both short-term needs long-term goals
