EHS Field Technician
Job Description:
We are looking for a diligent and safety-conscious Field Safety Technician to support health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives at our chemical manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring day-to-day compliance with safety protocols in the field, conducting inspections, and actively promoting a strong safety culture among operations and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine field inspections, audits, and job safety analyses (JSAs) to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
Monitor active work areas for adherence to site safety practices, including PPE usage, LOTO procedures, confined space entry, and hot work activities.
Support incident investigations and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions.
Conduct safety orientations and provide ongoing training to employees and contractors.
Maintain accurate records of safety observations, reports, permits, and compliance documentation.
Collaborate with EHS and Operations teams to support implementation of safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific chemical safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, HAZWOPER) preferred.
2+ years of experience in a field safety role within a chemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, chemical safety, and hazard communication standards.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety risks.
Comfortable working in industrial environments and engaging with field personnel.
