Engineering Project Manager

Overview:

Join a nationally recognized food manufacturing company based in Hiram, OH, as an Engineering Project Manager and take the lead on capital projects that impact operations across multiple facilities. This is a high-impact role where you'll manage everything from early project ideation to execution and ramp-up, all while driving process improvements and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities:

  • Lead capital projects from planning through installation, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance goals are met.

  • Develop and manage short- and long-term capital plans across enterprise locations.

  • Oversee contractors and coordinate with suppliers to address technical and project-related challenges.

  • Provide technical guidance for resolving process/packaging deviations and perform data analysis to support decisions.

  • Collaborate with production teams to improve layouts, investigate process inefficiencies, and implement cost-saving solutions.

  • Act as a subject matter expert during regulatory inspections and support new product and process launches.

  • Manage the RFP process, review vendor bids, and create detailed purchase orders for equipment and installation.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, lean practices, and technology adoption to enhance operations.

  • Travel up to 50% to support multi-site project execution.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 3+ years of project engineering experience
    OR Associate's Degree with 5+ years of experience and PMP certification

  • Proven experience leading capital projects in a manufacturing or regulated environment

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Visio, Word)

  • Working knowledge of GMPs, food safety standards, and process validation

  • Experience with SAP, MES, and Lean manufacturing is highly preferred

  • OSHA 10hr certification is a plus
