Machinist

SUMMARY: The Machinist will perform alteration tasks on aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers' Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA. Additionally, the machinist will develop, duplicate, and manufacture tooling equipment as required.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, or hones machining equipment, to produce parts to required specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Prioritize components for repairs to ensure on-time delivery requirements are met.
- Perform quality checks on parts using precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot CNC and/or hones machining equipment as needed.
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge of all tools and proper use of equipment within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Document maintenance records of all repair work orders performed.
- Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to ensure all parts meet strict aerospace standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED).
- 2-3 years of relevant/technical work experience.
- Flexible to changing workloads/priorities based on customer requirements.
- Maintain an orderly and productive work environment.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Basic computer operating skills (Microsoft Word).
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of work experience.
- 1 year of machinist experience.
OTHER:
The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
Role can range from $25/HR to $32/HR
