Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all assigned activities safely and effectively, ensuring compliance with established safety rules and good manufacturing practices.
- Direct team members in the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment, including electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Mentor the team and assist in diagnosing malfunctions.
- Oversee the unloading, loading, dismantling, assembling, installing, and testing of industrial machinery.
- Develop and implement standard work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and reaction plans to maximize team member effectiveness.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Manage team member performance using prescribed processes, procedures, and tools to promote accountability and achieve business goals.
- Effectively manage work order control systems to prioritize and complete maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other plant leadership team members to coordinate departmental activities.
- Manage predictive and preventative maintenance programs within the facility.
- Oversee the department budget, including labor, parts, repairs, and maintenance. Develop annual spending plans, control costs, set objectives, monitor, and explain results.
- Inspire creative and innovative thinking from team members to bring their ideas and career plans to fulfillment.
- Work with the engineering manager to establish and manage department and project budgets, develop financial analysis reports, and conduct feasibility studies to optimize production processes.
- Support all safety initiatives, policies, and procedures, working closely with the EH&S manager as a technical resource and managing assigned core safety programs.
Qualifications
- 2- or 4-year technical degree from a college or technical school; 5-8 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of related professional and progressive manufacturing maintenance experience.
- 2+ years of prior technical team management experience with a proven track record of developing, coaching, and mentoring a diverse workforce.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and CAD Design.
- Excellent interpersonal, managerial, and communication skills.
- Aptitude in planning, organizing, coordinating, and supervising complex projects.
- Proficiency in project management and control.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
Preferred:
- Experience working in the Consumer Product Goods industry.
