A Leader in the Aerospace & Defense sector is seeking a driven, hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to drive continuous improvement and lead successful manufacturing operations. 
Summary:
The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for leading all manufacturing operations in a manner which aligns with organizational goals, standards and policies.
The Manufacturing Supervisor will have the following responsibilities:
- Team Supervision: Plans and holds meetings, conducts performance appraisals, manages staffing levels (vacations, overtime, leaves of absence), assists with career development (motivates, coaches, trains for quality, productivity, morale, cooperation), approves time and attendance, and prioritizes work assignments.
- Feedback and Documentation: Provides positive and negative feedback to employees and maintains documentation for all disciplinary actions.
- Training and Orientation: Directs employee training and orientation to ensure EHS rules are understood, improve work performance, and familiarize employees with company policies and procedures.
- Policy Compliance: Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and practices.
- Production Scheduling: Schedules production and work teams.
- Operational Review: Reviews production and operating reports to resolve operations, manufacturing, and maintenance issues, minimizing costs and preventing delays.
- Equipment Inspection: Inspects machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and utilization.
- Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities: Assist in implementing the company's EHS policies, comply with all EH&S regulations, wear required PPE, report job-related illnesses/injuries and safety concerns, and attend EH&S training.
The Manufacturing Lead should have the following skill set:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- 2+ years leadership experience
- Legally authorized to work within the US. (Visa sponsorship is not available for this position)
- Supervising experience in a manufacturing environment
- TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Kaizen Concepts, and Synchronous Manufacturing experience
- Communication and Team Skills: Must communicate effectively across all organizational levels, possess strong team building and people skills, and handle multiple tasks with technical proficiency.
- Initiative and Organizational Skills: Must be energetic, self-motivated, capable of promoting and implementing change, and have strong PC, telephone, and organizational skills.
- Continuous Improvement: Must foster a continuous improvement environment.
