Our client is seeking a Paper Machine Superintendent to join their team in Georgia. The successful candidate will oversee the operation of the paper machine, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the paper machine to ensure production goals are achieved.
  • Monitor machine performance, identify and address production issues promptly.
  • Manage maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Manage the department budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and motivate staff, providing coaching and training as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure production meets customer requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in paper manufacturing with a strong technical understanding of paper machine operations.
  • Proven experience in managing a team of operators and maintenance staff.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
