Reliability Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Reliability Supervisor is responsible for leading reliability and maintenance improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, safety, and longevity of plant equipment and systems. This position plays a key role in developing and implementing proactive maintenance strategies, ensuring compliance with industry best practices, and driving continuous improvement within the maintenance department. The Reliability Supervisor will work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime and optimize overall plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies to improve equipment uptime and efficiency.
Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Oversee condition monitoring programs, including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, lubrication analysis, and ultrasonic testing.
Manage predictive and preventive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify and implement reliability improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance personnel on reliability best practices.
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness.
Manage and optimize spare parts inventory to support maintenance activities while controlling costs.
Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in maintenance work processes and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered.
5+ years of experience in reliability, maintenance, or engineering in a chemical manufacturing or industrial environment.
Knowledge of reliability engineering principles, predictive maintenance technologies, and failure analysis techniques.
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP, Maximo, or similar.
Experience with regulatory compliance related to maintenance and reliability in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong focus on safety and reliability.
