Logistics Consultant
Our client is seeking a motivated Logistics Consultant, to join their team. In this role, you will execute the full sales life cycle processes, from pre-work and detailed discovery conversations to informative meetings, to identify the needs of prospective clients and serve as a trusted advisor for their forwarding needs.
Locations: Cerritos, CA; San Diego, CA; Burlingame, CA; Peoria, AZ; Salt Lake City, UT; Greenwood Village, CO; Irving, TX; Houston, TX
Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage new clients through various methods such as cold calling, online media, seminars, trade shows, and in-person presentations.
- Present the company's logistics services including ocean and air freight, warehousing, trucking, cargo insurance, and customs brokerage.
- Achieve monthly sales targets set by management.
- Work with CRM Specialists to establish a strong presence in the local market.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and overseas offices.
- Travel locally for client meetings and presentations.
Requirements:
- 1+ year in freight forwarding.
- Preferred: selling ocean/air services.
- Preferred: ERP system Cargo Wise One.
- Entrepreneurial spirit; team player; problem solver.
- High emotional intelligence and communication skills.
- Professional email and phone etiquette.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working in a freight forwarder, ocean, or air carrier.
- Sales experience (inside or outside sales).
- Candidates with at least 3 years of domestic or over-the-road freight sales experience will be considered, provided they are within the base salary range.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.
