Purchasing Manager
Our client within the medical device industry is seeking a skilled Purchasing Manager in Santa Barbara, CA.This role focuses on leading and optimizing purchasing operations to support seamless production and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the purchasing team, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Analyze data to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies.
- Negotiate contracts and manage procurement to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.
- Maintain robust relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes and supplier performance.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Supply Chain Expertise: A minimum of 5 years in industrial sourcing and purchasing, with leadership experience.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FDA and ISO standards in the medical device or similar regulated industries.
- ERP Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred.
