Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and implementation of quality assurance standards and testing models to ensure their products are reliable and fit for purpose.
- Coordinate with various teams including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to enhance overall quality compliance with NADCAP standards, fostering a collaborative environment focused on quality excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to minimize waste and enhance productivity, thus improving the overall efficiency of their operations.
- Collaborating with suppliers and vendors to keep them in compliance with standards and performance from the quality department.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred to provide a deeper understanding of complex aerospace concepts and systems.
- At least 5-8 years of experience in a regulated industry as part of a quality assurance team, demonstrating a proven track record of maintaining high quality standards under stringent regulations.
- Mandatory NADCAP process experience to ensure familiarity and compliance with specific aerospace industry standards.
- Six Sigma or Lean training (Green or Black Belt preferred) to equip the candidate with the necessary tools to implement effective process improvements.
- US Citizenship is required for this position due to regulatory and compliance needs within the aerospace industry.
