Senior Supply Chain Manager
Position Summary:
The Senior Supply Chain Manager will lead the end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring efficient planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This is a critical leadership role that supports our mission to deliver high-quality automotive products on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with production goals and business growth in the automotive sector.
Manage demand forecasting, material planning, and procurement for components, raw materials, and finished goods.
Optimize inventory levels to support lean manufacturing and just-in-time (JIT) practices.
Drive cost reductions and operational improvements across the supply chain network.
Build and maintain strong relationships with tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring on-time delivery.
Oversee logistics, warehousing, and distribution processes, including inbound and outbound transportation.
Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Product Development teams.
Leverage data and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to monitor KPIs and enhance visibility across the supply chain.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field (MBA or APICS/CSCP certification preferred).
7+ years of supply chain experience in the automotive industry, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
Deep understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, supplier management, and logistics operations.
Familiarity with lean principles, Six Sigma, and quality systems (IATF 16949 preferred).
Proficient in ERP and MRP systems relevant to the automotive space.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
