Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the facility in implementing safe work practices and fostering a safety-first culture.
  2. Supervise a small team of experienced technicians.
  3. Investigate and initiate corrective actions for process/shop floor issues in manufacturing, inspection, and testing.
  4. Coordinate deliverables with project owners and customers to meet milestones.
  5. Establish operating procedures, improve processing techniques, and introduce new process equipment.
  6. Balance the priorities of the engineering staff and enforce the shop schedule.
  7. Utilize data to enhance the understanding of foundry processes and improve process control.
  8. Perform in a multi-disciplinary research and development environment.
  9. Complete internal engineering projects and potentially external licensing projects to support business growth.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Train and develop less experienced technical personnel.
  2. Adhere to the company's code of conduct, safety, and quality principles.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering
  2. 5-7 years of relevant experience or equivalent knowledge
  3. Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and materials engineering concepts
  4. Strong communication and organizational skills
  5. Proficiency in MS Office applications, technical computer modeling, and statistical tools
