Process Engineer

Location: Baltimore, MD

A leading chemical manufacturer is looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join the team. This role involves working cross-functionally to optimize plant processes, aiming to maximize throughput and enhance product quality. This individual will provide process engineering support, such as process design, project management, improvement, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety and compliance
  • Promote a safety-oriented culture
  • Monitor and enhance continuous and batch chemical processes
  • Report process and equipment issues, including night and weekend monitoring
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of all processes and equipment
  • Create a training manual for all plant processes
  • Collaborate with external contractors to update all process P&IDs
  • Improve quality and productivity to reduce costs
  • Execute PSSRs, MOCs, and PHAs as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of chemical processing equipment, plant processes, environmental guidelines, and relevant employment laws
