My client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality kitchen appliances, dedicated to delivering exceptional performance and reliability. They are seeking a talented Product Reliability Engineer to join their team and help them continue to exceed customer expectations.
As a Product Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing reliability testing and analysis methodologies to ensure the products meet or exceed reliability, durability, and performance standards. You will work closely with design, development, and manufacturing teams to identify potential reliability issues and provide solutions to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reliability Testing and Analysis: Design and conduct reliability tests such as accelerated life testing, environmental testing, and stress testing. Analyze test data to identify failure modes, trends, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement statistical models and methods to predict product lifespan and performance.
- Failure Analysis: Perform root cause analysis on product failures and defects. Collaborate with engineering teams to investigate and resolve reliability issues. Recommend design improvements or modifications based on failure analysis.
- Reliability Improvement: Work with cross-functional teams to incorporate reliability engineering principles into product design and development. Develop and maintain reliability standards, procedures, and guidelines. Provide input on design changes, material selection, and process improvements to enhance product reliability.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reliability test reports and documentation. Communicate findings, recommendations, and risk assessments to stakeholders. Maintain records of test results, failure analyses, and reliability metrics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in reliability engineering, product development, or a related field.
- Proficiency in reliability analysis software (e.g., Minitab, ReliaSoft), statistical analysis, and engineering principles. Experience with reliability testing equipment and methodologies.
