Project Engineer (m/f/d) - Norderstedt

A leading global company in the paint and coatings industry is seeking a Project Engineer (m/f/d) to join its team in as soon as possible. Responsibilities

  • Ensure health and safety by maintaining safe working practices for employees, visitors, and contractors on site.
  • Manage assigned capital projects from planning to execution.
  • Support change management and commissioning processes to ensure smooth handovers.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering to enhance production efficiency and safety.
  • Provide engineering support for SEVESO/COMAH compliance and safety measures.
  • Oversee contractor activities on capital projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate project planning and contractor activities with relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in the proactive management of the CMMS maintenance system.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a chemical production environment (hazardous industry preferred).
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and experience with RAMS/PTW processes.
  • Familiarity with CMMS, ATEX/DSEAR, PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, HASAW 1974, SEVESO/COMAH.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Gantt charts) and processes related to commissioning and change management.
  • Strong IT skills, including MS 365, MS Teams, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, initiative, and a proactive mindset.
  • Reliable, flexible, and a strong team player.
  • Very good communication skills in German and English.
