Position Overview: The Purchasing Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of the purchasing and procurement process for our automation machinery operations. This role ensures adherence to global purchasing standards, optimizes supplier relationships, and collaborates with various departments to achieve cost-effective and efficient procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete purchasing process, including supplier evaluation, development, and integration.
- Develop and implement regional purchasing strategies to optimize costs and improve supplier performance.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
- Collaborate with SCM, R&D, and Operations to develop and source innovative products.
- Manage risks related to purchasing materials and suppliers.
- Oversee CAPEX purchasing and project maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with global purchasing standards and company policies.
- Foster strategic relationships with key suppliers to drive cost savings and innovation.
- Conduct market analysis to stay current on supply market trends and best practices.
- Implement and improve purchasing processes, tools, and KPIs.
- Manage and mentor the purchasing team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in purchasing, with a focus on strategic procurement.
- Proven leadership and management skills in a supervisory role.
- Deep understanding of purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in SAP MM and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- CPSM certification preferred.
- Ability to manage complexity and drive results in a dynamic environment.
- Customer-focused with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Willingness to travel 10-15%.
