Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing project-based designs and making improvements to existing products in accordance with detailed design plans. Your expertise in mechanical design and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in driving the success of our projects and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement project-based mechanical designs, ensuring alignment with detailed design plans and specifications.

  • Evaluate and improve existing products, identifying opportunities for enhancements in performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

  • Conduct simulations and analyses (e.g., thermal, structural) to validate design performance and identify potential improvements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, software development, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of all components.

  • Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members.

  • Participate in the development and execution of test plans, including prototyping, verification, and validation testing.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including design history files, risk assessments, and technical reports.

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical design and product development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on project-based design and product improvement.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.

  • Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
