Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing project-based designs and making improvements to existing products in accordance with detailed design plans. Your expertise in mechanical design and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in driving the success of our projects and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement project-based mechanical designs, ensuring alignment with detailed design plans and specifications.
Evaluate and improve existing products, identifying opportunities for enhancements in performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Conduct simulations and analyses (e.g., thermal, structural) to validate design performance and identify potential improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, software development, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of all components.
Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
Participate in the development and execution of test plans, including prototyping, verification, and validation testing.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including design history files, risk assessments, and technical reports.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical design and product development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on project-based design and product improvement.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
