Sr. EHS Manager
Role: Assist the Site Director in managing environmental, safety, health, and security services. Lead the EHS department in developing and implementing policies and procedures. Ensure staff training, prepare reports, and audit procedures for quality, safety, and efficiency.
Strategic Impact:
- Lead the Environmental, Health, and Safety organization.
- Maintain safety and compliance with regulations.
- Plan and implement environmental and safety strategies.
- Manage the Industrial Hygiene Program.
- Implement and maintain site PSM & RMP programs.
- Lead incident investigations.
- Execute waste management processes.
- Develop and administer Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001).
- Coordinate site safety programs.
- Direct department operational activities.
People Responsibility:
- Supervise and develop environmental and safety personnel.
- Maintain work guidelines and provide feedback.
- Facilitate professional growth through training and team participation.
- Motivate and lead employees.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: BS in Chemistry, Chemical/Environmental Engineering, or Industrial Hygiene. 8+ years in Safety/Environmental and Regulatory roles, 5+ years in personnel management.
- Preferred: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Effective communication, technical skills, knowledge of ISO standards, budget management, SAP, risk-based thinking, and continuous improvement. Certified Safety Professional or equivalent EHS certification. Project management experience. Knowledge of OSHA, CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA, SARA, PSM, RMP, CFATS, regulatory agency systems, injury prevention, environmental release control, occupational health and safety principles, and emergency response procedures.
