Production Supervisor
The nation's largest private packaging/paper products manufacturer is seeking a Production Supervisor to join their corrugated manufacturing team. The Production Supervisor will leverage leadership skills, operational experience, and effective communication to identify and implement improvement opportunities in people, processes, and systems within a unionized environment.
This position is for 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 3:00PM - 11:00PM.
The Production Supervisor will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead an operational team to ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
- Cultivate a culture rooted in our Principled Based Management Philosophy.
- Promote safety excellence by encouraging employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement effective mitigation strategies; investigate incidents and participate in resolving root causes.
- Coach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, and production.
- Implement best practices to minimize waste at machine centers.
- Address key issues and concerns, collaborating with employees from other departments to ensure quality and timely production.
- Plan, assign, and direct work for all hourly production employees; evaluate performance and provide feedback as needed; assist in resolving complaints; hold employees accountable when necessary; communicate issues and results daily.
The ideal Production Supervisor candidate will have the following skill set:
- Experience in supervising or leading employees in manufacturing, production, industrial, or military environments.
- Background in corrugated, converting, or packaging production operations.
- Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring visa transfer or sponsorship.
