Job Summary:

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet company and customer quality requirements. This role involves developing and implementing quality control systems, analyzing production processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.).
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformances.
  • Perform internal audits, supplier audits, and assist in external regulatory audits.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Analyze data from inspections and testing to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) by developing quality plans and inspection criteria.
  • Create and maintain quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), control plans, and work instructions.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality requirements.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor and improve production processes.
  • Train production staff on quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a quality engineering role within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Proficiency in quality tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and software.
  • Experience with supplier quality management is a plus.
