Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our engineering and production team. This role is critical in supporting the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that products are built to the highest quality standards while optimizing cost, efficiency, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance of the engineering drawing libraries for all products, toolings, and fixtures accountable for the proper creation, retention, and disposal of engineering records.
  • Design and implement manufacturing processes, tools, and systems that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high product quality.
  • Continuously analyze and enhance existing processes to improve productivity, safety, and throughput.
  • Work closely with the production team to identify and resolve issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
  • Collaborate with product design teams to ensure manufacturability and provide input for design enhancements.
  • Conduct time studies, capacity planning, and process flow analysis to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives, applying lean manufacturing principles.
  • Support troubleshooting of equipment and production challenges, ensuring smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5-10 years' experience in a fast paced, customer focused manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing practices and processes including Lean Manufacturing and techniques
  • Proficient in software such as Solidworks, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Experience leading Kaizen initiatives
  • Wants long-term role as senior engineer of innovative heating products
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and as part of a team
