Plant Manager

A global leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions is looking to bring on a new Plant Manager to their aggregate facility in Colorado. The primary role of the Plant Manager is to lead and oversee the mining of aggregate materials, ensuring the production of safe, high-quality, and cost-effective products to meet the annual sales budget.

The Plant Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Supervise team to maintain production and efficiency.
  • Communicate with site crew, including foremen, lead persons, plant operators, loader operators, and laborers.
  • Consistently identify new operational opportunities to improve plant efficiency and productivity.
  • Initiate and implement production and scheduling programs, strategies, and techniques to increase productivity and maintain safe operations within budget.
  • Manage the performance of subordinate personnel, work independently, meet deadlines, and manage the plant with fiscal integrity.
  • Address customer needs while promoting and protecting the company's long-term interests.
  • Participate in Company MSHA inspections.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

The Plant Manager will have the following skill set:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years Aggregate Mining and related Raw Materials Plant Production experience
    • Preferred Field of Study: Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with effective planning, scheduling, and people management abilities.
  • Ability to identify production issues and experience in resolving them.
  • Solid understanding of Sand and Aggregates Mining and related Plant Production equipment, including crushers, screens, and washing equipment.
  • Capability to motivate department personnel to achieve production goals while upholding safety program integrity.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and water systems.
  • Decision-making skills that consistently apply practical business sense.
  • Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
