Director of Transportation
A leading Food & Beverage company is looking for a skilled Director of Transportation. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining safe, profitable operations. The Director will shape the department's strategy and guarantee timely, accurate outbound shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate a safe culture to ensure injury-free interactions for associates.
- Guide and develop Transportation Managers.
- Leverage advanced technology to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
- Track production goals, ensure accuracy, and resolve delivery issues effectively.
- Evaluate performance metrics and recommend strategic improvements.
- Work closely with other departments to integrate transportation strategies seamlessly.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of transportation experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership and people development skills.
- Proven track record in managing budgets and optimizing costs.
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and relevant technologies.
- Adaptability to changing environments and a drive for continuous improvement.
Compensation:
- Base salary: $145,000
- Bonuses included

Additional Information:
- Fully on-site position
- Must be willing to relocate to the area if not currently located in the Greater MN area.
- Must have experience working in cold temperatures / experience living in a colder climate.
- Days of operation are Monday through Friday.
