About the Role:

My client, a leading global pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Global Vendor Master Data Manager to lead and oversee vendor data governance, quality, and compliance across its international operations. This critical role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of vendor master data, supporting procurement, finance, and supply chain functions. The ideal candidate will be an expert in data management, vendor lifecycle processes, and ERP systems, with a strong ability to drive data standardization and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement global vendor master data governance policies, ensuring consistency across all regions.
  • Own the vendor onboarding, maintenance, and deactivation processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, and IT teams to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and system integration.
  • Lead data cleansing and standardization projects, eliminating redundancies and enhancing master data accuracy.
  • Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives to improve vendor data management efficiency.
  • Monitor data compliance and risk mitigation, ensuring adherence to financial, legal, and operational requirements.
  • Act as the key point of contact for vendor-related audits and regulatory reporting.

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in vendor master data management, procurement operations, or financial data governance within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa) and data management tools.
  • Proven ability to implement data governance frameworks and drive process improvements.
  • Experience in global, multi-stakeholder environments, managing vendor data across different geographies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance standards, including GDPR, SOX, and pharmaceutical industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical vendor data governance and supplier relationship management.
  • Certification in Data Governance, Supply Chain Management, or Procurement.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
