I&E Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions, performs preventative maintenance checks, and calibrations using manufacturers' manuals and electronic testing equipment
- Maintains accurate records and logs as required of calibration checks
- Installs new systems and controls including power wiring, electrical, and CEMS
- Responsible for all aspects of the plant control system, HC900 PLC, Wonderware Intouch HMI, and Wonderware Historian (including programming), HMI graphics, troubleshooting, backups, documentation, etc.
- Installs cabling, power distribution systems, motor control centers, services and replaces motors, lighting, and performs general electrical maintenance work - strongly prefer Journeyman electrician experience
- May require scheduled on-call work during off-hours
- Follows safe and compliant working procedures
- Maintains a clean work environment
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by management based on the needs of the business
- Experience working with Distributed Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
- DCS and PLC programming from different manufacturers; in all stages from initial concept to start-up
- Tuning and troubleshooting of analog loops, with or without special software
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems to include digital and analog circuits
- Installing, configuring, and calibrating various digital and analog instruments using appropriate calibration equipment
- Computer networking and familiarity with TCP/IP networks and how to configure/install them
- Utilizing laptops, desktops, and servers
- Use of Microsoft Office software
- Setting up hardware to communicate with remote PLC's and DCS
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Electrician License or higher
- 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance troubleshooting experience
- 5+ years of industrial instrumentation troubleshooting experience
- 3+ years of lead, supervisory, or management experience (with union employees)
- 1+ years of experience in DCS systems preferred
- 1+ years of VFD (4160v supply to them and 480v out) programming experience preferred
- Must have excellent troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in reading blueprints, electronic schematics, and PID's (process instrumentation diagrams)
