Summary:
We're currently partnered with a leading recycled paper manufacturer looking expand its team of Electrical Engineers! As an Electrical Engineer, you'll to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical systems in our state-of-the-art pulp and paper mill. In this role, you'll collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to enhance equipment performance, minimize downtime, and drive efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, motors, drives, switch-gear, transformers, and power distribution.
- Support and maintain PLC/DCS control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell).
- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability.
- Work closely with operations to optimize power consumption and electrical efficiency.
- Assist with automation and instrumentation troubleshooting.
- Lead or support capital projects, system upgrades, and new installations.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and industry best practices.
- Conduct arc flash analysis and electrical safety training.
- Maintain accurate schematics, documentation, and compliance records.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment (pulp & paper preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with PLCs, DCS, VFDs, and motor controls.
- Experience with power distribution, load calculations, and energy efficiency improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
