Inventory Control Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and scrap management.
- Possess strong quantitative skills and comfort with numbers and analytics.
- Have basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical machine parts.
- Supervise the Inventory Control Specialist and Inventory Clerks.
- Utilize barcode systems to identify parts.
- Conduct weekly cycle counts with or without handheld scanners.
- Perform full inventory counts with or without handheld scanners.
- Enter requisitions and receive items in MP2 and SAP.
- Pick parts based on descriptions or part numbers.
- Use MP2 to automatically generate requisitions for parts based on Min/Max points.
- Collaborate with vendors to assist in purchasing parts.
Professional Experience
- Previous experience handling heavy forklifts (over 5-ton lift).
- At least 1 year of experience operating fork trucks or equivalent skillset.
- Preferred experience with warehouse management systems or receiving/loading.
- 2-3 years of experience in inventory control or general accounting.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
Education and Specialized Skills Profile
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Practical experience and knowledge of SAP and MP2 software systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs.
- High degree of accuracy, diligence, and confidentiality.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, stress, and time management skills.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.

- Proficiency in English (oral and written) is necessary to successfully complete the scope of work.

- Work location is Barnwell.
- The manufacturing environment is not air-conditioned or climate-controlled.
- Frequent sitting, walking, talking, hearing, and using hands to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; reaching with hands and arms.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Frequent lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, wet/humid conditions, ambient air, temperature extremes, combustible dust, fumes, airborne particles, traffic, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
- Moderate noise level, occasionally high in specific areas.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Full-time position with general hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Extended hours, night shifts, and weekend work may be required.
