Base Compensation: $76,000 - $115,000

OVERVIEW

We are currently partnered with a Fortune 500 manufacturer in the packaging industry that is seeking a Process Controls Engineer II to provide expertise in control systems and instrumentation, supporting the safe production of quality paperboard and by-products. This role directly supports the Paper Machine and Color Plant departments and reports to the Control Systems Group Leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote and ensure daily safety practices.
  • Lead safety meetings and hazard awareness initiatives.
  • Review and execute hardware, software, and process changes.
  • Support operations during safety audits and troubleshoot quality issues.
  • Verify process instrumentation accuracy and maintain control platforms.
  • Support and troubleshoot data collection from vendor equipment.
  • Perform inspections and use tools to identify and correct issues.
  • Manage remote access to control systems and maintain process displays.
  • Coordinate capital projects and ensure timely execution.
  • Design and implement control packages to improve production and safety.
  • Drive cost reduction and ensure compliance with permits.
  • Report environmental issues and maintain documentation.
  • Train and develop junior engineers.
  • Participate in productivity and quality teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, or Paper Science preferred).
  • Associate's degree accepted with 5-8 years of industry experience.
  • Experience with DeltaV DCS and Allen Bradley PLCs preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
