We're partnering with a leading manufacturer in the paper and pulp industry, committed to delivering high-quality products while maintaining sustainable practices. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to lead our operations with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Job Summary: The Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety. This role requires a strong emphasis on continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the paper and pulp industry and possess excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee daily plant operations to ensure production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to optimize processes and reduce waste.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the plant budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain and improve product quality standards, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans for plant growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in plant management within the paper and pulp industry.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and financial performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
