We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee our production processes with a focus on efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
Job Summary: The Production Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the production process, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong emphasis on continuous improvement to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain high standards of product quality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the paper and pulp industry and possess excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Oversight: Manage daily production activities to ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to optimize processes and reduce waste.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing production team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Resource Management: Ensure efficient use of resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all production activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain and improve product quality standards, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in production management within the paper and pulp industry.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage resources and optimize production processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
