We're looking for a Boiler/Kiln Supervisor to oversee critical operations in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Boiler & Kiln Operations: Ensure optimal performance and efficiency in boiler and kiln drying processes, coordinating material flow and troubleshooting production challenges as needed.
Maintain Equipment & Compliance: Lead preventive maintenance efforts, schedule inspections, and verify adherence to environmental and safety regulations.
Drive Quality & Productivity: Monitor lumber moisture content, conduct quality tests, and ensure production goals are met consistently across departments and shifts.
Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team: Provide training, coaching, and performance management to employees, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Promote Safety & Best Practices: Lead by example in enforcing safety standards, engaging employees in proactive hazard identification, and ensuring compliance with workplace safety protocols.
Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate logs on production levels, regulatory compliance, and operational performance.
What You'll Bring:
At least four years of supervisory experience in a 24/7 industrial or manufacturing environment.
Extensive knowledge of boiler and kiln operations within a wood drying function.
Strong background in safety leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ability to analyze and adapt quickly in a fast-moving production setting.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to foster teamwork and operational success.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.
