Controls Systems Engineer
We are looking for a Controls Ssytems Engineer to develop and optimize software and hardware for mechatronic systems. This role involves debugging, system integration, control modeling, and collaboration with global teams to enhance product performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve software/hardware issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Develop Simulink-based control models for new products.
- Follow the V-Model software development process
- Work with systems engineering to document and analyze software requirements.
- Integrate new electronics, sensors, and components into mechatronic systems.
- Support motor technology, including validation and tuning.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to resolve part availability and obsolescence issues.
- Develop control strategies and ensure system performance.
- Work with CAN, LIN, SENT, and PWM protocols for system communication.
- Ensure traceability from software requirements to test cases.Perform testing using high-temperature instrumentation for flow, pressure, vibration, and other measurements.
- Use electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and multimeters.Work within a global engineering team and communicate across different time zones.
- Ensure adherence to quality, health, safety, and environmental policies.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering, control theory, and wiring systems.
- Proficiency in MATLAB-Simulink for control system modeling.
- Experience with data acquisition tools, instrumentation, and electrical test equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with 5+ years of experience.
- Expertise in CAN bus protocols, calibration tools, and EMI/EMC shielding.
- Experience with Six Sigma methodologies and Functional Safety principles.
