Field Service Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team, covering the Northeast region. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in ophthalmic devices and systems, along with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with physicians and surgeons. This role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of our products, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain ophthalmic devices and systems at customer sites, ensuring compliance with company standards and specifications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment issues, both remotely and on-site.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity and reliability of devices.
- Train healthcare professionals, including physicians and surgeons, on the proper use and maintenance of ophthalmic equipment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Document service activities, including installation reports, maintenance logs, and customer feedback.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmic technology and company products.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for product upgrades and additional services.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards during service activities.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service, preferably with ophthalmic devices and systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of ophthalmic equipment, including diagnostic and surgical devices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with healthcare professionals.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Northeast region.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
