Global Logistics Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Global Logistics Manager to lead and optimize this client's global logistics function, as part of the centralised Supply Chain Leadership team. This role requires an individual with strong expertise in logistics, trade compliance, and process development, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a proactive and analytical approach to managing logistics processes, driving performance improvements, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Logistics Leadership: Manage and oversee the global logistics function
- Process Ownership & Optimization: Own, oversee, and continuously develop the global logistics process to enhance efficiency and performance.
- KPI Development & Monitoring: Develop, establish, and track key logistics performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational targets are met globally.
- Trade Compliance & Export/Import Control: Lead trade compliance efforts, including export/import control and country-of-origin (CoO) topics, in close collaboration with relevant partners and support functions (i.e. shared business logistics partners, third-party service provider etc)
- Duty & Sustainability Impact Management: Analyze the impact of duties on the supply chain, proposing and implementing strategic improvements. Assess and address sustainability impacts related to logistics operations.
- Digital Transformation & Innovation: Drive the organization toward a more digitally advanced logistics function, optimizing operations and leveraging third-party logistics providers to enhance service efficiency.
- Project Leadership & Globalization Initiatives: Participate in and potentially lead global projects aimed at optimizing logistics operations across the supply chain.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication: Act as the primary logistics contact, ensuring strong partnerships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Sales, Product Management etc) and external partners.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in global logistics, supply chain management etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
- Proven leadership capabilities in managing cross-functional teams and projects.
- Familiarity with digital logistics solutions and transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in working within a matrix organization and managing third-party service providers.
- Fluent German language
