Demand Planning Manager
A leading Food Manufacturer is looking to add Demand Planning Manager to their growing team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate demand predictions, sales forecasting, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting the overall supply chain strategy.
This role is on-site in Richmond, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and sales insights.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, collaborating with sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to align demand and supply plans.
- Utilize advanced analytics and forecasting tools to improve demand accuracy and identify trends and patterns.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and inventory management.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance forecasting accuracy and supply chain efficiency.
- Monitor and mitigate risks related to demand fluctuations and supply chain disruptions.
- Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment and effective communication of demand plans.
- Prepare and present regular reports on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and performance metrics to senior management.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in demand planning and sales forecasting in Food Manufacturing
- Proven ability to manage a team
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain planning systems and ERP platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
