Product Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Product Manager to join their team in Kalamazoo, MI. This individual will play a crucial role in driving our product strategy and execution, with a focus on the pet food industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research:
    • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive dynamics within the pet food industry.
    • Utilize various research methodologies, including surveys, focus groups, and data analytics, to gather actionable insights.
    • Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure product compliance and innovation.
  2. Data Management:
    • Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets to inform product development and marketing strategies.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track product performance and market metrics.
    • Use data-driven approaches to identify opportunities for product improvement and optimization.
  3. Project Management:
    • Lead cross-functional project teams to ensure timely and successful execution of product initiatives.
    • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and manage resources effectively.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  4. Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with R&D, marketing, sales, and operations teams to drive product development and launch activities.
    • Facilitate regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions to foster innovation and collaboration.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring a cohesive and productive work environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management, preferably within the pet food industry
  • Proven track record as an individual contributor
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
