Location: South Germany (remote, based in South Bavaria or Baden-Württemberg)

Industry: OEM Special Vehicle Manufacturing

Company Overview: We are recruiting on behalf of a leading OEM vehicle manufacturer specialising in the design and production of high-quality vehicles. Our client is known for their commitment to excellence and innovation, making them a trusted name in both local and international markets. They are seeking a highly qualified Head of Sales to join their team and drive sales efforts in South Germany. This position is for a client who is in a strong profit situation, looking to more than double their output per year.

Position Overview: As the Head of Sales, you will play a key role in expanding our client's market presence in South Germany. You will leverage your technical knowledge and sales expertise to explain product features and benefits to customers, ensuring they understand how the vehicles work and meet their needs. This role involves travel (80%) from Monday to Thursday. You will also get a company car.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers in South Germany, explaining product features and benefits in detail.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to gain a deep understanding of the vehicles and how they operate.
  • Generate and follow up on sales leads, preparing and delivering sales presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales targets.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, market conditions, and customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer service and support.
  • Play a key role in the expansion of the business.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales within the automotive or a related industry, with a strong emphasis on trucks, lorries, forklifts, and other special vehicles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of special vehicles and how they operate.
  • Fluency in German is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively (80%) and work remotely.
  • Experience in the South Baden-Württemberg or Bavaria area is a plus.
