Electrical Controls Engineer
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading Manufacturing Conglomerate Company who is looking to expand its team with an Electrical Controls Engineer. This candidate will be responsible for designing and development of electrical controls systems to support production.
In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead oversight of the installation, debugging and validation of functional controls ensuring specified requirements
- Programming and installation of automation systems and interfacing with other factory control systems including PLC's, HMI's, robotics, drives and computers.
- Design and Edit HMI and SCADA systems
- Performs general electrical troubleshooting and downtime support to maintenance and operations teams
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
- Design Manufacturing Automation and Process Control Systems, including software and graphical (HMI) solutions.
- Maintain and optimize manufacturing controls infrastructure
- Troubleshoot production and maintenance issues, offering innovative solutions to improve processes
The Controls Engineer should have the following qualifications
- B.S Engineering (Required)
- Minimum of 3 years engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Experienced with Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Experience with plant power distribution
