I & E Supervisor
MAIN FUNCTION:
- Responsible for improving process controls reliability.
- Responsible for continuous improvement of instrumentation and controls.
- Responsible for ensuring consistency between locations.
- Responding to and resolving instrumentation and control issues.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the development and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems.
- Responsible for ensuring consistency between locations and meeting corporate expectations and standards.
- Development of instrumentation installation drawings, data sheets, and specifications to be in full compliance with recognized industry standards and safety standards.
- Develop technical tabulation to support the selection of instrumentation and control systems.
- Assist in the technical development of assigned plant project P&IDs.
- Assist in the development of I & E project schedules and manpower requirements.
- Provide support for procurement of instrument items.
- Manage conversion of DCS from PROVOX to DeltaV and other software upgrades.
- Ensure the plants have the right people and training to operate and maintain instrumentation and control systems.
- Responsible for maintaining a high degree of reliability in all controls, instrumentation, and emission monitoring systems.
- Develop programs to prevent accidents and maintain safe working conditions.
- Respond when and where needed during emergency downtime situations or when problems occur.
CHARACTERISTICS:
- High energy level, team player, excellent work ethic, with strong project management skills.
- Able to develop and enhance relationships with customers, suppliers, auditors, attorneys, and local community leaders.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Two-year technical degree (Electrical Engineering or Technology).
- Minimum of five years previous experience working as an instrument and electrical technician or equivalent job function in an industrial manufacturing environment. Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Proficient with DeltaV digital control systems.
