Plant Quality Manager - Dairy
Our client in the Dairy space is searching for a Plant Quality Manager. The Plant Quality Manager will lead the development, implementation, and management of food safety and quality assurance (FSQA) programs across the plant. This role is responsible for ensuring that all food products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the Quality and Sanitation departments within the plant, fostering strong relationships and setting meaningful goals to ensure staff success.
- Conduct timely reviews of production lot records, SOP/SSOPs, investigations, corrective actions, change controls, technical documents, and ensure compliance to Quality regulations.
- Assign and communicate priorities and tasks to direct reports, ensuring all work is completed safely, with high quality, and on schedule.
- Lead, manage, or participate in investigating non-conformances, and implement CAPAs in accordance with quality procedures, policies, and regulations.
- Lead a team of food safety and quality professionals, providing direction, training, and mentorship.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the dairy manufacturing industry.
- Bachelor's in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance, with at least 8 years in a direct management/supervisory function.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., SQF, BRC, USDA, FDA, Organic, etc.).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
