Our client is a globally recognized leader in the automotive industry, with over 10,000 employees worldwide. Specializing in cutting-edge automotive technologies and manufacturing, they are dedicated to delivering high-quality products and innovative solutions to customers across the globe. Due to continued growth, they are seeking two experienced Procurement Managers to join their team in Eisfeld, Germany.
Position Overview:
There are two separate procurement manager positions available:
Project Procurement Manager
- Focus on sourcing and managing materials and components for specific automotive projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
Procurement Manager - Electronics and Plastics
- Responsible for procuring electronic and plastic components, ensuring high quality, cost-effective sourcing, and managing supplier relationships in these specific areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement activities in your respective area (Project Procurement or Electronics and Plastics).
- Collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, production, and project management to align procurement strategies with operational requirements.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms in terms of price, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Monitor supplier performance, manage contracts, and resolve any issues to ensure continuity of supply.
- Track and manage procurement processes, ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and analyze market trends to optimize procurement strategies.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement within the automotive industry (experience in project procurement or electronics/plastics is preferred for respective roles).
- Strong negotiation skills and experience with supplier management and contract negotiations.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and project management teams.
- Fluent in German (both written and spoken) and English.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement software is a plus.
