Procurement Manager
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement to develop, implement, and execute procurement strategies across the supplier base, including sourcing and qualifying alternative suppliers.
Stay informed on global market trends of categorical commodities/materials; translate trends into proactive risk, supply, and cost controls.
Work directly with Operational branches, Corporate Supply Chain, Technical, and Commercial teams to support strategic initiatives and fiscal health.
Conduct periodic supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
Track and analyze key performance indicators to optimize procurement processes and supplier performance. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and scorecards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast production needs and plan for future demand.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with outside vendors, focusing on delivering internal favorability.
Maintain steady communication with key positions to coordinate the flow and use of materials between departments and manufacturing sites.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent on-the-job training and experience.
5+ years of procurement experience in a production environment.
Strong negotiation and analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve problems.
Proven track record of utilizing problem-solving methods to continuously improve quality, delivery, and cost performance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in procurement software.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Robust organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certification in APICS, ISM, or equivalent.
Knowledge of the ink industry or chemical industry.
