Production Manager

We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Production Manager to join our team and lead the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility.

Job Summary:
The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of the production process at our chemical manufacturing facility. This includes managing the production team, optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, adhering to safety standards, and meeting production targets. The role requires a strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, as well as leadership and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the production team to ensure effective and efficient manufacturing operations.

  • Plan, organize, and control production schedules to meet customer demands and business goals.

  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing production efficiency, reducing costs, and improving product quality.

  • Collaborate with other departments, including EHS, Maintenance, and Quality Control, to ensure smooth production workflows.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and company policies related to safety and quality.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues, minimizing downtime and disruptions.

  • Analyze production data and implement corrective actions as needed to improve performance.

  • Train and mentor production staff to improve skills, safety awareness, and overall team effectiveness.

  • Develop and maintain detailed production reports and performance metrics for management review.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the chemical manufacturing industry.

  • Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards.

  • Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience in troubleshooting production challenges.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.

  • Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office tools.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
