One of the worlds leading F&B companies is recruiting a Category Manager, Ingredients to join its team in Germany.
You will be joining a mature procurement function with over 50+ procurement professionals.
Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, you will manage the part of the Ingredients Category across Europe, specifically Flavours and Spices (circa 40m euro).
This will be a highly strategic role and you will collaborate closely with the R&D team to devise and implement category strategies across your regions, building strong supplier relationships, optimising costs, and mitigating risks.

As Category Manager, Ingredients you will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies of defined Ingredient segment or group of suppliers across the Group, utilising Strategic Sourcing processes, tools and policies.
- Negotiate contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the strategy.
- Regular analysis and reporting on ingredient market developments within the defined category through market insights gathered by suppliers, market insight and trade show visits.
- Together with key stakeholders located across Europe, develop and achieve a pipeline of initiatives, projects, and activities with a focus on sustainable cost base reduction.
- Advance and foster close working relationship with key suppliers & internal stakeholders to integrate the category sourcing strategy
- Support the delivery of the groups objectives in terms of cost, quality, service, and innovation.
- Help to solve operational issues (e.g. efficiency workstreams, supply interruptions, contractual disputes) if needed.
- Get involved in ad hoc projects as determined by your manager.
- Support your team and the company in coherent development and application of our wider policies and objectives.
