The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager will lead efforts to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role will focus on optimizing production processes, ensuring quality, and driving cost-effective practices across the food and beverage manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute a continuous improvement roadmap aligned with business objectives, focusing on Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process improvement tools.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization across production, packaging, supply chain, and quality control to increase productivity, reduce waste, and enhance safety.
- Organize and manage Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement projects (Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping) aimed at enhancing overall operational performance.
- Work with production, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to understand operational challenges and create solutions that drive process improvements.
- Develop and track KPIs to measure the success of improvement initiatives. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Provide CI training, workshops, and mentorship to team members, fostering a company-wide culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts to address and mitigate operational issues in production and other key areas.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through efficiency improvements, waste reduction, and optimized use of resources.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing role, ideally within the food and beverage or consumer goods manufacturing space.
- Proven experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement tools.
- Hands-on experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Lean principles, Six Sigma methodology, and other CI tools.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards (HACCP, GMP, etc.).
- Proficiency in data analysis and process mapping software (Minitab, Visio, etc.).
