Overview: Our client in the Chemicals Manufacturing space is looking for a Cost Variable Analyst to join their team to support reporting and forecasting for their Asset and Management teams. Responsibilities:
- Accountability for variable cost reporting in actuals, budget and forecast to ensure the accounts are correct, variances are explained clearly and concisely to the Asset and Management teams in a timely and accurate manner adhering to the Company policies.
- Ensure compliance with variable cost contracts for Company to align costs with contract terms.
- Review and analyze production costs (including utilities and raw materials) for Company plants. Use this data to monitor plant performance and take corrective actions as needed.
- Create and post monthly billings related to costs attributable to the Site Partners.
- Support weekly and monthly cash flow reporting by providing accurate cash forecasting information.
- Regularly reconcile balance sheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
- Understand variances between actual, budget, and forecasted costs. Communicate findings to relevant functions and address any issues promptly.
- Safeguard stock assets by reconciling stock ledgers. Determine stock valuation based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Company Group policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Accounting/Cost Analytics
- Strong understanding of IFRS and GAAP
- SAP experience preferable
- Manufacturing background preferable
